As the Training & Outreach Coordinator at the Department of General Services, Cristen is responsible for ensuring small, local, minority, woman, and veteran-owned businesses are aware of the millions of dollars in contracting opportunities that are available to them. In this role, she has provided training and technical assistance to hundreds of small businesses to prepare them to participate on state contracts.
Cristen began her career with the State of Maryland working as a Compliance Auditor for the Office of Legislative Audits where she learned about the policies and processes that govern State procurement in Maryland. She has since transitioned into her current role where she uses this knowledge to help small businesses grow and succeed in the competitive state contracting market. Cristen holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, specializing in Marketing & Management, from Towson University.
