Annette Fisher is the Chief of Marketing and Air Service Development at the Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) Maryland Aviation Administration (MAA), owned and operated by Martin State Airport and Baltimore Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport, the 22nd busiest airport in the United States. Ms. Fisher is responsible for producing dynamic marketing, project management and advertising initiatives aligned with the airport’s strategic priorities in the D.C., Maryland and Virginia regions. In addition, she leads a team responsible for the offices related to management for Marketing, Corporate and Community Relations, Air Service Development, Communications and the Office of Passenger Development Services, developing the ultimate travel experience for all passengers.
During her rewarding career, Ms. Fisher’s journey has included all facets of communications, including television, radio, corporate, state and city governments, non-profit and real estate. She has been recognized as an award-winning public relations executive, focusing on marketing, media and public relations campaigns.
Prior to her work in public relations and marketing, Ms. Fisher served as a television news producer for Baltimore’s NBC affiliate news and special projects. In addition, she worked as a freelance reporter for the Baltimore Sun’s special sections and was a contributing writer for the Baltimore Business Journal.
Ms. Fisher earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the College of Notre Dame in Maryland and holds an MBA from Johns Hopkins University. She is an active member of the Public Relations Society of America, National Association of Journalists, Airport Council International – North America and the American Association of Airport Executives. During her spare time, she lends her talents to mentoring young women and enjoys spending time with family, playing tennis, traveling and photography.
